Terminology

Hosting: All websites require a dedicated physical server. The setup of this server in an online atmosphere is referred to as ?your hosting?. This requires a monthly fee that depends on the size of your site. Typically you can expect to pay $15 - 40 / per month depending on the size and traffic requirements of your website.

FTP: File Transfer Protocol is the interface we use to upload / download and revise files on your server. In many cases FTP details may need to be exchanged in order for us to gain access to your web environment.

Domain: The domain is your address. For example: lighthouseinnovations.ca. Typically domains are registered on a per year basis at around $10 - 20 depending on domain suffix (.com, .ca, .info, .net)
